No. This is H2S awareness. Not everyone who works around H2S is required to have H2S alive, in fact the H2S alive course is not required by law, nor is conveniently available online.

You will have full access to the online course and final exam for 30 days, via the online user page you created when signing up to take the training.

Yes. our H2S courses can be used for first time certification or recertification.

Yes. After you have taken the H2S full awareness course, and passed the exam, you will instantly be able to print a temporary copy, until your hard card arrives in the mail. All courses are accompanied by a printable certification.

The certification period lasts for 1 year, at which point you will need to successfully pass the H2S exam again.

If you fail the exam, you will instantly see the portions of the exam that you missed. You can then study the training again, and take the exam again, until you pass, or the 30 day period expires

There is no in-person practical skills test required to receive your H2S Awareness Certification or recertification. All of our courses are 100% online

No. The fit test is a requirement associated with wearing positively sealed SCBA's. You will be need to be fit tested to wear a Type C hoseline unit, or 30 minute work/rescue SCBA, but not an emergency SCBA. Wearing these respirators is not necessarily a requirement of someone working in an environment where H2S may be present.

We do not recommend you purchase H2S basic, and H2S Awareness training at the same time. The H2S awareness course contains all of the same information as the basic course does within its curriculum. No. Take all of the time you need on the exam!

You must pass the exam with 80% or better. The exam is a randomized multiple choice 20 question exam, so you will need 16 or more correct answers to pass the H2S exam.

Once you pass the exam, you will be able to review all of your answers on the exam. You will also be able to download a PDF version of your certification. For H2S Awareness Courses, you will also receive a hard copy wallet card in the mail within 5 business days (North America only - longer time is needed for international shipment).
